RSV Vaccine - offered from September 2024
This is a new vaccine which protects against Respiratory Syncytial Virus (known as RSV). This is a common respiratory virus that can cause serious lung infections. The vaccine is recommended for patients aged 75-79 years old. The Practice will notify you when you are eligible for the vaccine. It is also offered to pregnant women to protect their unborn child and they will be offered this by their midwife. Flu Vaccine & Covid Vaccine
These vaccines are usually given at the same time each year in the Autumn. We schedule clinics from October onwards. All eligible patients will be contacted. Please ensure we have an up to date mobile number for you so we can send a text with details of the clinics.
Shingles vaccine
The shingles vaccine is available for patients aged 65 or 70 years at 1 September 2024 and patients aged 50+years who are immunocompromised. Texts will be sent to these patients but if you have not been contacted by November please let us know. The Shingrix (shingles) vaccine is given in 2 x doses at least 8-weeks apart.
