Re-order slips are given out with every repeat prescription and these should be used when ordering the next batch.
Repeat prescriptions can be ordered in 2 ways:
- By depositing the completed re-order slip in the box at reception. If you do not have one - just ask the receptionist when you come in to the practice
- By using our Patient Services online system - you can register for this by contacting the practice staff - *see below for link when you have registered
- 48 hours' notice must be given. Prescriptions can be collected from 4.30pm 2 x days after being requested
- If you are signed up to a specific chemist (preferred pharmacy) for them to collect your prescriptions please contact the chemist in the first instance if you want to check if it is ready.
Generic Prescribing
In line with the Health Board policy the practice has adopted the policy of generic prescribing. In some cases the medicine you receive on prescription will remain as before, but it is possible that there will be a change or an alteration in the size and shape of the tablets/capsules. The doctors would like to reassure all patients that the generic substitution has the same biological properties, efficiency, safety and quality as branded medicines. If there are any difficulties with your prescription, please let us know.
