- Contact us on Wednesday to book a routine appointment for Thursday or Friday
- Contact us on Friday to book a routine appointment for Monday
Urgent Appointments
Urgent appointments will be available for booking every day. These will be for patients whose medical problem requires an examination, treatment etc from the doctor on the same day. These appointments are to ensure that the sickest patients get the care they need promptly.
We thankyou for reading this notice and for your co-operation with this system.
Routine appointments are available with the doctor/nurse/physiotherapist/senior mental health worker and practice pharmacist. We offer the following;
- Face to Face Consultations
- Telephone Consultations
- For rashes or other skin conditions you may be asked to email a photograph
If you have an infectious illness which may be spread to others by coughing or sneezing - please wear a mask when in the health centre. This will help reduce spread and protect other vulnerable patients. If you do not have a mask, please ask the receptionist for one when you arrive.
All urgent matters will be dealt with on the same day.
If you request an urgent consultation the receptionist will ask you about the nature of this. Please give as much information as possible as this will be passed on to the doctor and enable your call to be dealt with promptly. The Receptionists/Care Navigators are all fully trained in dealing with confidential matters and will treat your information with respect and in line with GDPR guidance.
Care Navigation - what does this mean?
Our Practice Administration team/Receptionists have all been trained as Care Navigators - this means they will ask you a little about your reason for requesting an appointment so they can direct you to the most appropriate service or health care professsional within a suitable timeframe. This is a very important role in ensuring that you see the most appropriate professional for your issue and to ensure that we can see as many patients as possible as all of our services are under pressure at this time. All information given to the Care Navigators is treated confidentially.
