Wearing masks- September 2020
Posted on 22 Oct 2020
Due to the high levels of Covid-19 circulating in our city we have implemented a strict policy of mask wearing for all - staff, patients, carers and other visitors - in the Health Centre. This is in line with the Northern Ireland Chief Medical Officer's recommendations (Aug 2020) and in the best interests of us all to ensure we keep each other safe and reduce the risk of spreading the virus. Our staff encounter many patients face-to-face every day so the risk of spreading the virus will be high if they are exposed to patients not wearing masks.
We acknowledge that there may be some extreme personal circumstances when patients feel they cannot wear a mask so we ask these patients to inform us when booking an appointment. We will then try to make alternative arrangements to accommodate them. Our full policy is on display at the Practice.
